Workshop on Artificial Intelligence for RFID

IEEE RFID 2022 Tutorials and Workshops, Call for Participation

IEEE RFID 2022 Workshop on AI for RFID

Organizers: Prof. Mohammad Alhassoun (KFUPM, Saudi Arabia) & Dr. Andrea Motroni (University of Pisa, Italy)

With the prefoliation of RFID technology beyond supply-chain industry, the need for advanced technologies and techniques to meet the ever-growing demand for RFID technology is inevitable.  This growth results in more data than used to be and more stringent requirements. In this era, whenever there are data, deep learning and artificial intelligence (AI) must be there. This workshop addresses several aspects and applications of AI and deep learning in the realm of RFID
Included Topics:
RFID Tag Detection
Activity Recognition and Identification
Security and Anti-Collision Protocols
Indoor Localization
Missing Data and Data Recovery
Combined AI and RFID for Healthcare
Any other related topic

How to submit?   There are three venues for submission

Peer-Reviewed Conference Paper
For the presentation of a peer-reviewed conference paper, submit a manuscript either in the form of short paper (2 pages) or full paper (max. 6 pages) through the IEEE RFID 2022 Workshop on AI for RFID track on EDAS. Paper submission deadline, notification of acceptance, and camera-ready version are the same as the general paper track in the conference.

Submissions to IEEE RFID Conference are open through EDAS. Please, click on the button below to submit your paper. The IEEE RFID 2022 accepts paper submissions formatted in the IEEE conference style.
Manuscripts should be 2-6 pages, submitted by the advertised conference deadline (February 7, 2022, February 14, 2022, February 21, 2022).

Tutorial

For a tutorial-based submission, please send an email to either Prof. Alhassoun (malhassoun@kfupm.edu.sa) or Dr. Motroni (andrea.motroni@ing.unipi.it)  including the tutorial topic, abstract, duration, and any logistical support. The deadline for submission is March 29th at 11:59 PM Eastern time.

Abstract-Based Submission
For an abstract-based presentation or demonstration, please e-mail a title, half-page abstract, short biography of presenter(s), and any other requirements (e.g. logistics of a hardware demo) to  either Prof. Alhassoun (malhassoun@kfupm.edu.sa) or Dr. Motroni (andrea.motroni@ing.unipi.it) . The deadline is March 29th  at 11:59 PM Eastern time.
